Chris Barnett is a Mortgage Loan Officer at Valor Home Mortgage. Driven by a passion for excellence and deep-seated commitment to “service before self”, he specializes in helping fellow veterans achieve one of life’s most mission-critical goals – purchasing or refinancing a home.

An Army veteran, entrepreneur, and author, Chris has added mortgage finance to his list of professional, craftsman, and technical abilities. Inspired by his own home-buying experience, he aims to simplify what can be an intimidating process by educating clients on navigating the complexities of securing a home loan from application to approval. By delivering creative financing solutions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, he is helping to turn veterans into homeowners. With his family’s multigenerational background of military service, he chose to join the Valor Home Mortgage team for its well-known integrity in fairly and transparently serving the veteran community.

Prior to joining Valor Home Mortgage, Chris served for six years as an Army Combat Engineer. Originally from Oregon, he is now based in North Carolina, where he and his wife raised their five children. In addition to his military service, he has served as a volunteer youth soccer coach and dad, cheer dad, swim dad, and choir dad.
